Cosa hanno in comune queste patologie? L’assenza del linguaggio parlato.
I-SPK è il metodo psico-linguistico che può dare a questi bambini una lingua per comunicare.
Abbiamo scelto l’acronimo I-SPK come abbreviazione per I SPEAK “io parlo” o meglio “Io Se Posso Komunico” perché questa è la mission del progetto. Dare uno strumento comunicativo e un percorso terapeutico che permetta a bambini e adulti impossibilitati a parlare di poter entrare in relazione con l’altro e comunicare.

Da una parte uno spazio di sostegno per la famiglia e dall’altro la costruzione dello strumento comunicativo migliore per quel determinato bambino o ragazzo. Il metodo I-SPK usa come canale comunicativo quello della Lingua dei Segni italiana (LIS) lo strumento cardine per abilitare alla comunicazione. Sono diversi i metodi alternativi alla lingua verbale: per noi è importante sviluppare il canale più adeguato al bambino in modo che possa esprimersi liberamente.

Queste patologie ostacolano la comunicazione di moltissimi bambini e ragazzi con gravi deficit motori o cognitivi rendendo precaria la vita quotidiana sia affettiva che relazionale.
“Non si può non comunicare” scriveva Watzlawick, ma se un essere umano viene privato della possibilità di elaborare frasi, di esprimere desideri, di verbalizzare sofferenze e dubbi allora tutto il suo sviluppo è in crisi. La comunicazione non verbale è la base dell’interazione. Gli scambi di sorrisi, di sguardi, la postura, le espressioni, costituiscono la matrice dello scambio interattivo, ma a volte per un bambino o per un adulto non è sufficiente questo per tirare fuori quel mondo interiore che rischia di rimanere chiuso per sempre.
Handicap e limiti, strumenti non adeguati, il pensiero che il linguaggio -all’interno di una sindrome- sia solo uno dei tanti sintomi, sono i presupposti che il nostro progetto vuole provare a ribaltare.
